Ludlow Choral Society currently has approximately 130 members. New recruits are always welcome but there is currently a waiting list for sopranos. There is no audition involved, but all members are given voice placement tests from time to time to help maintain the balance of the choir and to ensure they are in the most appropriate sections.

Rehearsals are held in the Methodist Church, Broad Street, Ludlow from 7.30 to 9.30 on Tuesday evenings from the beginning of September to sometime in June or July.

As we perform in three major concerts each year, rehearsals move quite quickly and it is important that choir members are prepared to devote additional time to learning the works away from weekly rehearsals.

A number of social events are organised each year including a quiz night, coffee morning and garden party and we occasionally organise block bookings for other concerts in the area.

The annual subscription for 2009-2010 is £81which can be paid in three parts.

If you can’t be a singing member, why not support us by becoming a Friend?

Friends pay a modest subscription, currently £8 (or £12 for couples), which entitles them to advance notice of all concerts and social events. At concerts, they have reserved seats and a free programme. Our Friends often help in the running of concerts by stewarding or assisting with lighting and staging.
