Songs of the Sea
Music with the theme of the sea including works by McDowell, Parry, Ayres, Beethoven, Purcell and Elgar
Songs of the Sea is an eclectic/varied programme of choral music on the theme of the sea built around Elgar's song cycle Sea Pictures. Rather than being sung from start to finish at once, the song cycle will form a framework for the whole concert, punctuated by the choral pieces.

Music composed by Handel while living there and including works by other composers that he met there Vivaldi, Scarlatti, Lotti etc.
The concert will feature Corelli's 'Christmas Concerto'
